These experienced and courteous professionals have, on average over five years of experience with Monroe and over 20% have spent ten or more years as Monroe employees.
Each driver receives comprehensive training and testing which, in all instances, equals and typically exceeds standards set by the New York State Departments of Education, Motor Vehicles and Transportation. This includes a comprehensive background check, extensive pre-employment training as well as ongoing in-service training conducted at least semi-annually.
MST follows all applicable Federal DOT drug and alcohol regulations which include: pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, and random testing.
Our drivers attend in-service programs that exceed the established standards for New York State bus drivers. Our curriculum stresses safety practices, defensive-driving techniques, first aid skills, and customer service.
In addition our drivers:
Undergo annual physical examinations that include, but are not limited to, testing for hearing, sight, strength, and general health.
Must pass criminal history and fingerprint checks as well as pre-employment drug testing.
